I could use the following list as parts of a poem. I could start it out with a few items on the list, e-mail it to friends and have them add on. I was also thinking I could create an online profile of a made-up character who is a pessimist who exaggerates everyday annoyances to a ridiculous level. I could combine a few of these items into a generic press release, just as the Web site we looked at suggested. For example, many of these annoyances are work related so they would work together well in a press-release format. I could recreate some of these annoyances in photo form--capture some of the things in action--translate the words/ideas into photography to make them more concrete. This idea stems from the idea given on the Web site we looked at to recreate an image taken by another person. Instead of recreating an image, however, I'd be recreating moments in everyday life.
Things that annoy me:
Being hovered over
Bad grammar
Missed deadlines
Living by deadlines
Pointless classes
Waking up early
E-mail/text forwards
The clicking noise my car makes
Hearing loud drunk kids outside my window when I'm trying to sleep
Being woken up by the garbage truck
Alarm clocks
Movies with endings that resolve, conclude nothing
Generic headlines
Crowds
Long lines
Sneezing
Faulkner novels
most American literature
most reality TV shows
28 Days Later
Light or noise when I'm trying to sleep
Error messages on my computer

What is wrong with you? "28 Days Later" is an amazing movie. I'm sorry the zombies didn't all get cured and the world wasn't fixed, but it's a suspenseful movie that thrives in the uncertainty. If you want happy endings with your zombies, see "I AM LEGEND."
But your project could be done like mine: a series of still shots of those things you hate, potentially set to some 1920s carnival music?
You could also put a picture of yourself in the bottom corner levelling your disgust for each item by facial expressions.
Aside from your blatant disregard of cinema, it's a fair list.
I like this list, mostly because I get annoyed by a lot of the same things--especially the garbage truck in the morning. My house is next to a "T" in the road, so they stop in front of it and collect all the other trash cans in the area and bang them against the truck to get all the trash out. They always smash down all the trash with the compactor too, so the engine gets all loud. It's like a 10 minute process.
And the movie endings thing. Did you see "The Happening?"
I don't know what subelements are, but I bet those are pretty annoying too. Good list.
I like your list as well and agree with most of it. Dave's idea about the still shots and the carnival music is a really good one. I'm curious to see where you go with it.
I would add-
-dodging puke on my walk to school in the morning.
-the smell that comes from the apartment door to the left of the free store on walnut
